Since March 2026, G2P Africa has been officially accredited as an observer member of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) as a private sector player. This strategic recognition marks a significant milestone in the firm's positioning within the international climate finance ecosystem.

Notably, G2P Africa is currently the only specialized African consulting firm to hold this status. This distinction crowns several years of commitment to supporting African public and private institutions in structuring projects aligned with the standards of major climate funds.

The observer status at the GCF allows the firm to participate in Board sessions, gain early access to the Fund's strategic orientations, and contribute to exchanges among various stakeholders — States, financial institutions, international organizations, and private sector actors. This proximity to decision-making dynamics provides a decisive advantage in anticipating changes in the Fund’s operational framework.

Beyond institutional recognition, this accreditation concretely strengthens G2P Africa's capacity to support its partners in preparing bankable projects that meet GCF requirements. It also enhances the quality of dialogue with accredited entities and designated national authorities, while facilitating the strategic alignment of initiatives with international climate priorities.

In a context where access to climate finance remains a major challenge for many African countries, this progress confirms G2P Africa's commitment to playing a catalytic role. By combining technical expertise, a deep understanding of financing mechanisms, and close alignment with international standards, the firm aims to actively contribute to accelerating the pipeline development of transformative projects across the continent.

With this accreditation, G2P Africa takes a new step in its ambition: bringing Africa closer to the financial resources needed for its climate transition by providing concrete solutions to structuring, quality, and scaling challenges for projects.
